The successful season of Penshurst RSL's under 19s came to an agonisingly disappointing end when they fell 4 points short in their Grand Final. As Minor Premiers and winners of the Major Semi, hopes were high of a win, despite the absence of a couple of key players due to injury.
Unfortunately, our boys conceded a 0-22 deficit in the first 20 minutes of the game, which they weren't quite able to overhaul. In front a very large crowd, which included a sea of Green and Gold supporters, the u19s fought back with the spirit and determination, for which they are famed, against much bigger opponents before going down 18-22. Congratulations to coach Peter Mannering, his players and staff on a tremendous season.
