Penshurst RSL is pleased to announce our coaches for the 2005 season. The only position not filled at this stage is our under 6s. If you are interested or know someone who may be interested in coaching our mighty mites let us know.
Penshurst RSL Rugby League is in mourning for the loss of one of its founding fathers – Rex Notley - who passed away last Friday, 19th November. Rex helped kick off our club way back in 1961 and he & another of our founders – Kevin O’Brien – were the first recipients of Life Membership of the club in 1971.
Penshurst RSL Rugby League thanks Rex Notley for his years of service – your contributions to the great club that you helped create will always be remembered and appreciated.
Rex’s funeral service will be held within the South chapel of the Wornora crematorium Sutherland, Wednesday 24th Nov commencing at 1pm. He was the beloved husband of Dot (deceased), loving father of Christina, John, Peter and Chris and the cherished pop and loving great-grandfather of many.
Dennis Leaeno aged 14 years, of the Hurstville United Club, was tragically killed in a car accident on Sunday morning. He will be greatly missed by his family and the St George rugby league community. The Penshurst RSL JRLFC offers its sincere condolences to Paul, Lusia, Charlie and Malcolm and the rest of the Leaeno and Iosefo families, as well as to the Hurstville United Club.
All positions will be declared vacant and nominations for positions will be taken during the meeting. Other club business will also be dealt with.
Please give serious consideration to participating in the club’s operations and decision making by taking a position within the club. Your time and commitment will be greatly appreciated.
