Saturday Results Round 14Wet weather didn't dampen the spirits of footballers on Saturday at HV Evatt Park, where a full card of fixtures was played in some fairly inclement weather. In what was a somewhat "golden" day, our mighty Under 6 Golds played some fantastic football to be victors over Kogarah Cougars, while the Under 9 Golds comprehensive defeated Brighton Seagulls. In our Sunday clashes, the Under 18s inflicted the first loss of the season to the highly fancied Hurstville United side in a high quality game of rugby league. The 16s and 13s also recorded good wins.

Below is the draw for Week 14 which will be played over the weekend 15th-16th July as there is no play on the middle weekend of the school holidays, 8th-9th July. We have a double-header at HV Evatt Park, with games on both Saturday and Sunday. Most Penshurst RSL teams will be playing at home.

As always, the assistance of parents from all Penshurst RSL teams playing at Evatt Park is required in the canteen, on the BBQ and in the setting up and packing up of the field. Your help is very much appreciated.

Week 13 Results 2006

On a sunny winter's Saturday, the Green and Gold was represented throughout the St George district. The under 6 Gold won another tight contest, the under 6 Green went down narrowly, the under 7s weren't quite strong enough against a bigger opponent, the under 8s posted a good win, both the under 9s, Green and Gold, were rolled by bigger oppositions, the under 10 Gold fought valiantly against a top 3 team, the under 10 Green showed why they are sharing the competition lead, the under 11s dominated in their victory and the under 12s weren't good enough on the day.

And on a sunny Sunday of results, all of our International teams recorded victories...the u13s romped home, the u16s won a tight tussle, the u18s were always in control and the u19s led all the way. Well done to all teams, enjoy next weekend off before the run into the finals.
