Pre Season Training

chill pill

We had two unsavoury incidents last week involving members of our club and St George Baseball. As a result we have received complaints from Baseball and a warning from Hurstville Council.

We are visitors on Evatt Park until the official start of our season after Easter and we need to stop interfering in any way with summer sports who are preparing for their finals.

Apart from the damage to the reputation of our club this type of behaviour can have it is not reflective of our club values and can result in action under our code of conduct. If you are having issues on the park we expect you to remain polite and to raise the matter with a committee member.

Sponsorship Co-ordinator

on .

Penshurst RSL JRLFC is pleased to announce the appointment of Sean Willett as our 2015 sponsorship co-ordinator. Sean has been a coach in the club for several years and has also been a major sponsor over recent seasons.

As the principal of Mortgage Choice Oatley, Sean will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role.

The Executive committee congratulates Sean on his appointment and also acknowledges the terrific work done in this role over many years by his predecessor Sean Saliba. Without Sean’s hard work it would not have been possible for us to keep registration fees at such low levels. We look forward to Sean’s continued involvement in the club.

Working With Children Check

A Working With Children Check (WWCC) will be a prerequisite for anyone involved in the club this coming season, there can be NO exceptions to this government requirement.

If you will be holding a position in the club this year what do you need to do?

If you already hold a WWC number through your employment you do not need to re-apply simply provide the number to our club secretary so it can be logged against our club registration. We are not able to access numbers that were provided to us last year, so if you obtained your number and provided it to the club last year you will need to again forward it to the club secretary.

If you do not hold a WWC number you MUST register before the season starts. Registering is a simple online process and only takes a few minutes. Registration is free for volunteers and lasts for 5 years. You will however need to attend a Motor Registry or RMS office once the application is lodged to provide your proof of identity (usually your drivers licence).
