Draw - Week 09.2009 (13-14 Jun)
Tuesday, 09 June 2009
Most of the draw for week 09 has been published, however, details of some games are yet to be received.
On Saturday, details of the u7s and u8s have now been received. Most of our Mini and Mod teams are playing at HV Evatt Park with 4 teams playing at Beverley Hills Park.
As usual for home games, we would appreciate as much help as possible. Please ensure each team provides helpers for ground set up, canteen and BBQ during both days.
On Sunday, all teams are on the road, including 4 of our International teams playing at Hurstville Oval.
Please note that where the notation "TBA" appears in the draw below, it denotes that details are "To Be Advised". When received, these details will be updated.
A reminder to all that our annual Trivia Night is on this Saturday night 30th May, in Penshurst RSL's Auditorium from 7:00pm for a 7:30pm start.
The Trivia Night consists of 6 rounds of 10 questions on various general knowledge subjects. As well as Matt Sloane's infamous phantom horse race call, we have some wonderful prizes, including 4 State of Origin tickets, the popular “Bourbon” coin toss and, this year, two new bonus rounds. As usual we will have a raffle with some fabulous prizes to be won.
The mood is always light and friendly, however as we near to the close, the bribes start taking place and the competition goes into overdrive. Please come and join us in the challenge for a winning team.
Get in quick and start organising your teams (a table of 10 makes a team), made up of friends, family and of course team parents. Entry is $10.00 per person and can be payable on the night, or book your table in advance.
You may bring your own snacks, but please - no beverages as they will be available for purchase at bar prices.
If you have not yet booked your table, please call Leonie on the club's number 9596 0697 to do so.
It's a great night and a major fund raiser for our kids !! See you there.
Draw - Week 08.2009 (30-31 May)
Wednesday, 27 May 2009
The draw for week 08 features the Craig Rimmer carnival which is a handicapped, round robin tournament for Mod teams. In each Mod age group, there are 2 Pools of teams (all games for a given Pool are played at the same ground). The round-robin games will be played at various grounds around the district on the Saturday, with the winners of each Pool playing in the Final on Sunday at Hurstville Oval. (Refer to the full draw, found under the Fixtures menu, for all games in the carnival).
With plenty of games at Evatt Park on Saturday, including a Pool of Rimmer games, we would appreciate as much help as possible. Please ensure each team provides helpers for ground set up, canteen and BBQ.
As for the Mini and International grades, it is business as usual. Our Mini teams are playing at either HV Evatt Park or Bevely Hills Park on Saturday, whereas, of our International teams, the u13s, u14s and u15s play consecutively at Cahill Park on Sunday morning and the u19s are out of district. The A grade has the Bye.
NB: The week 07 games that were washed out last weekend will now be played on the weekend, 13th-14th June. The exception is our A Grade who will be playing on the June long weekend.
In the case of wet weather, training at Evatt Park may be cancelled if Hurstville Council closes the park. If in doubt check the website, contact your coach or ring the Hurstville Council Wet Weather Notification line on 9330 6272.
